When you buy a book or any other kind of product, a little description is always needed for the new customers who know nothing about it.

Books have the summary and important details related to the story and the author at the back of the cover and there are new market campaigns launched along with the products by the companies to create awareness about it among their regular customers and the potential new customers.

Usually, you find people related to the sales encouraging people to try those new products and providing them with the necessary details. The schema does the same kind of thing for your website and it also saves your precious time that can be used to focus on other SEO strategies.

Schema Markup is a Microdata form that gives visitors an overview of a website before they have even clicked on the link.

When you type something in a search engine, you get a lot of results on your Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs) and every single one of them carries with it a small description that is either related to the topic you search for or the entire website.

These descriptions are also called the Snippets and are found under the website name and the URL. This schema markup can be created by simply going to their official website Schema.org. The need for these markups was felt when the ambiguous nature of the HTML tags was found to be insufficient for the Google Bots to understand.

Html tags only provide them with the words but not their meaning and since all the words have multiple meanings and plus interpretations, it became very confusing and difficult for the search engines to provide the users with 100% accurate information.

One question everyone has about the schema markups is if they provide any kind of help in the process of improving your Search Engine Ranking on SERPs. As we know that the search engines prefer quality content and the clarity around it so that even the Bots and an average person can make sense of it and the Schema is just the tool to do that.

Even though it contributes nothing to the quality of the content, the schema does the finishing job for you which may become tiresome due to the repetition. So to conclude, Schema markups do help in improving the SEO ranking and are a good tool to be implemented on any website.
