Accelerated Mobile Page (AMP) is a framework or structure of Google project backed up with the objective of speeding up the delivery of content through AMP HLMT (coding of Accelerated Mobile Page). It is a website issuing Google technology that has to provide the web content the first format of users.
AMP builds web pages that contain content that cannot be changed based on the user’s behavior. It also allows the pages to load faster than any other webpage. Basically, AMP refers to speeding up the loading speed of any webpage easily. The speed of a webpage is becoming a factor for ranking in competing markets.
So, AMP is right here for the satisfaction of your website’s need for speed. It accelerates the speed of your website through a combination of restriction and optimizations for CSS and Java scripts. Additionally, speed is also improved by the use of short files and media from the server.
AMP Caching
AMP Caching is also like a browser’s cache which allows it to store the browser’s files, documents and images automatically. If a valid AMP site is being published, the AMP ecosystem automatically cached your web pages.
There are two amp caches used majorly nowadays: Google’s AMP caches and Cloud flare’s AMP caches. When anyone accesses your webpages then caches will be updated automatically and updated to the next user also. This ensures that an updated version of your webpage is served to as many people as possible quickly.
The AMP caching also provide some modifications and optimizations such as:
- Removal of many images data that is invisible or not so important and covers the size of the browser.
- AMP format validating automatically.
- Also served over secure channels like HTTPS and uses latest version of web protocols like HTTP/2.
- Responsively images size are supported in ads.
- If save data is on then transforming images to its lowest quality.
- Also converting all the images to smaller and more mobile friendly images format. (GIF, JPEG and PNG.)
- For improving browser’s memory issues and poor responsiveness, provide limited image dimensions.
Also with these optimizations, the cache will also process many sanitizations of HTML to pass normally.
